QPR In Double Premier League Raid – Announcement Imminent

|

With the summer transfer rumour mill hotting up for Queens Park Rangers as new manager Mark Warburton continues to tweak his first team squad as we look for better in the Championship campaign of 2019/20, we are now being linked with a double loan swoop for talented Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City duo Luke Amos and Matt Smith.

22-year-old Amos has made his debut for Spurs as a substitute and having come through their youth ranks he enjoyed a productive spell out on loan with Stevenage in the second half of the 2017/18 campaign.

He’s been in and around the first team setup under Mauricio Pochettino and involved in their match days squads (his debut came last season), but an injury sidelined him last year when many thought he’d make his proper breakthrough, so this could be a smart move for us.

19-year-old Smith hasn’t made his senior debut for Pep Guardiola’s side, but he is already a fully fledged Welsh international with seven senior caps to his name and he spent the 2018/19 campaign out on loan with Dutch side FC Twente, making 34 appearances with a return of two goals.

The report from Football London implies confirmation of the double loan will be made this weekend.
